DADS UPDATE

WELL THE BLOOD DID THE TRICK. HE WAS FEELING MUCH BETTER THE NEXT DAY SO MUCH THAT HE WENT OUT TO EAT BREAKFAST THAT MORNING. HE FINISHED HIS FIFTH ROUND OF CHEMO AND WILL HAVE A BREAK FOR THREE WEEKS THEN HE WILL START ROUND SIX WHICH SHOULD BE HIS FINAL ROUND. HE IS TRYING TO DECIDE WHERE TO GO FROM HERE. HE IS LOOKING INTO SEVERAL PLACES THAT OFFER ALTERNATIVE TREATMENT. IF ANYONE HAS ANY SUGGESTIONS PLEASE SEND THEM WE WOULD LOVE TO KNOW IF THERE IS ANYTHING WONDERFUL OUT THERE THAT WE AREN'T ALREADY CONSIDERING. THANKS FOR THE PRAYERS THEY ARE MUCH APPRECIATED. HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND.

DADS REPORT

My DAD got some good and bad news yesterday. The good news is he is responding to the chemo well and things are shrinking but his blood is really low so he had to be admitted in the hospital to get 3 pints of blood. He will just be there as long as it takes to get it or he can spend the night if he wants since it will be around 3am before he is done. Keep him in your prayers as we all know prayer is powerful.

PRAYER REQUEST

Ok all you prayer warriors I need you or should I say my Dad needs you. I will be flying up in the morning to go with him and Grammy Alice to his Dr appointment at 11:45 to get the test results from last week and to start the 5th round of chemo. We had a great visit with him on Sunday and he was in good spirits, I will post pictures of his great new hair piece compliments of Brady. It is so weird to see him so frail he is the sweetest person you could every meet. I haven't told allot of people but I am so proud of who he is and hope I can be more like him everyday (very big shoes to fill). He is forgiving and kind to everyone he knows. Always sees the good in the person or situation. Anyway I could go on forever about him. Keep him in your prayers and Grammy Alice she has been so awesome to him during all this. I know God has a plan and he is just working on his masterpiece of my Dad.

TEST, TEST AND MORE TEST

I just wanted to share how very proud of Brady I am, I probably don't do that enough. 3rd grade is really a big adjustment grade, as I say "the real deal" no playing around. Brady had 2 big test this week, Math and Wordly Wise (which were like 5th grade words by the way). We got back the Math and he made an A. The Wordly Wise we haven't gotten back yet, but he said that he felt good about it. I really don't know who was more nervous, me or him this morning???? On another note we have had some good news about adoption lately, I will share later when I know more. Take care. Love the weather by the way.

BLESSED

Every since I moved to Orangeburg 8 years ago I have been blessed with great friends. Like today for example my good friend Karen went up in her attic in the heat (felt like 110 up there) to get Annie B's tubs down that were full and I mean running over with clothes for Lilly Rae. I have had allot of fun tonight looking at beautiful dresses for her. The child will never have to wear the same thing twice thanks to Karen and Annie B.
On another note Mikee is home safe and sound asleep. His clock isn't back on time yet so its driving Brady crazy! Brady wants to go hunting and fishing and swimming and play the Wii, but all that's hard when your asleep. We will give him another day or so then he has to snap out of it and get back to the real world. He did say his trip to China was great and he brought home some nice goodies for us and Brady's class. He has another meeting there next year and Brady and I plan on going with him this time. Well I better get to washing all these great clothes:)

WELCOME HOME DAD

Brady and I are very excited that Mikee will be home Friday. Brady made this sign tonight for his Dad so its the first thing he sees when he gets home, since he will not be here. He has also taken window chalk to his truck. Have fun cleaning that off Dad!! Brady was so funny today he had some tuff decisions to make on what to do for the weekend. He had several invitations like to spend the night and go to the football game and go to the movies or stay here with Dad. He made a deal with his Dad that he would go spend the night with his friend Croft but come home early enough to go hunting on Saturday afternoon. Don't think Dad is as excited about the hunting after being gone for so long. I loved listening to Brady's reasoning in the back of the car while I was driving. Just a little update on the adoption. I received our I600-A form back because I sent to much money. Can you believe that they would send it back so I can resend it with a new check. I would have thought that they would have just issued me a refund. Oh well it was nice knowing I didn't owe more. I will send that back tomorrow first thing and hopefully they will process it quick. Then its off to Charleston to get fingerprinted. We are moving right along and should have Lilly Rae before you know it. Take care and have a great weekend.

MELT DOWN

The title says it all. I am totally in MELT DOWN. I am ready for Mikee to be home. I am tired and still sick. I have delt with ugly and I mean ugly people all week and I am having a MELT DOWN!!! I don't know what it is about people being ugly this week but I have had my share and even had my good friend Karen with me to experience it. Sorry for the vent but had to get it out. It can only get better from here.

He has been gone for 10 days now in China only 6 more to go in Idaho. I have been sick all weekend with a bad cold but thanks to Tracy she took care of Brady all weekend, even took him to soccer for me. Good to have good friends.
